International LED Industry Technology Exhibition LED street lamps

At the “China (Shanghai) International LED Industry Technology Exhibition” opened on July 7th at the New International Expo Center, the “LED Streetlight Rating Competition” launched by the Organizing Committee has attracted a lot of attention. LED street lamps collectively from all over the country Appearance, in the light efficiency, color temperature, uniformity and other technical parameters to compete. The competition is one of the preparations for Shanghai to develop LED technology standards, laying the foundation for LED technology to enter the homes of ordinary people indeed.

Semiconductor lighting (LED), as a new type of solid-state light source, has shown energy-saving effects in more and more lighting fields. For example, instead of neon landscape lighting, it can save energy by 70%. LED traffic lights can save energy by 80%. However, people in the industry have pointed out with concern that the LED industry has developed rapidly in recent years, but it still lacks official technical standards, resulting in mixed sectors and unfavorable for large-scale promotion.

For LED street lamps with relatively high technical difficulty, the problems caused by the lack of professional standards are particularly apparent. According to statistics, there are about 500,000 street lamps in Shanghai, of which about 350,000 are in urban areas. Semiconductor lighting is used. Currently, there is only a small demonstration section of Wuning Road. “Many outstanding LED manufacturers and integrators do not know how to design a practical street light, and the application department cannot explain specific requirements.” Regarding heat dissipation, an “open-type” lampshade was designed. However, for the street lamp, this type of “wind and rain” function is poor and is not suitable for street lighting. The organizers hope that through this “LED street light PK,” find suitable technical indicators and design programs, and then to develop the entire LED industry related professional standards to explore the way.
